Online games got remarkably popular nowadays and they are responsible for a large amount of everyday Internet traffic. With the growing number of online users, it becomes more and more difficult to ensure good performance for every user in the (dynamic) game network, as its main performance parameters (latency and consistency). With aim to gain scalability in he number of users, a new communication protocol, operating over cyclic network topologies, has been recently proposed. We investigate a further improvement of the protocol by integration of a carefully designed network coding (NC) scheme and we estimate the new protocol's latency and consistency. Hence our main contribution consists in designing a network code for a bi-directional, non-multicast transmission flow over a cyclic network topology.
